Data Protection Officer

International firm, full-service leasing, is looking for a Data Protection Officer in Casablanca.

Data Protection and Privacy :

• You will implement and disseminate privacy guidelines, policies, procedures and recommendations for your organization and contribute to the development and promotion of the ethical use of data. You are the first line of defence when it comes to data protection and privacy.
• The guidelines, policies, procedures and recommendations come mainly from the second line of defence, such as the Group’s Chief Data Protection Officer or the company’s Data Protection Officer.

For example, you will perform the following operational activities:

• maintain and document the Processing Activity Record (ROPA);

• privacy protection through the design of a local project or for the local implementation of a commercial project;

• Support local business with data protection

• Make the local entity aware of data protection.

You will provide to Operational Permanent Control (OPC) inputs required to perform Data Protection control plans.

        1.Data Quality :

You are in charge of identifying, escalating and contributing to the remediation of data quality issues, in relation with each Business Unit. You ensure that quality investigation and remediation actions are taken in each Business Unit.

         2. Data Focal Point :

You are the country-level point of contact on all data topics, to both increase data-driven approach locally, and ensure that data initiatives and capabilities are suited to local needs. You will liaise with Corporate data teams (Data Management & Quality, Data Intelligence, Data Governance & Fluidity, Data Protection), data teams from other countries (e.g. reporting teams), and your local business lines and functions.

         3. Community :

You will be part of the DAQUIP community (DAta QUality Integrity and Protection) and Data Intelligence community.

          4. Reporting line : 

Data Officer reports to Head of Business Transformation.

• Master’s degree in IT Engineering, Big Data Management or Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.
• Five years’ experience on job positions such as Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, Data Protection, Data Officer.
• Excellent English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of WeData or another Enterprise Data Management tool is recommended
• Knowledge of Dataiku and Tableau or other Data preparation & visualization tools is recommended
• Familiarity with Data Management Book of Knowledge is recommended.
